A couple of reviews...

Well, I think that might be a bit misleading - these are not reviews per se... just some observations...

KFC Mantime Burgers (actually I'm not even sure what they are called)

I was very tempted to try this one - I mean, what's not to love? Original fillet  - good. Cheese - good. Bacon - GOOOOOODDDD (even though I think I'm over the concept of bacon - but that's another story altogether). I stood at the KFC counter and could NOT bring myself to order THAT. A bunless burger? Two pieces of meat, salty meat, plus salty cheese PLUS salty bacon - and nothing to balance out the salt? NO THANK YOU. Anyone willing to prove me wrong?

So this burger is a FAIL for me.

Telstra "Get Closer to Adam Goodes" Ad

I don't even usually like Adam Goodes, but man, I love him in this ad! Especially the scene where the guy is trying to go to the toilet - absolutely HILARIOUS!!! I always love a good ad - I hear the music and I run out from wherever I am just to watch it! Hope you guys like it as well!

Ruthless Rob...

I can't believe how ruthless Rob Mariano is! Voting out Matt again (although I thought that he was a little naive), but I'm ultra annoyed that he went after my boy Mike. I LOVE Mike - so hot! But he was always going to be a target if he didn't win Immunity, so  let's just hope that he does something on Redemption Island and come back into the game and kick ass!!

What's not to love? :)

David is annoying and Philip is CRAZY!!! They need to get rid of him. He is a ridiculous excuse for a man! He talks about stealth, but he's the blabbermouth which has told EVERYONE their strategy at Tribal. It's ridunk.

In saying all that though - I've always liked Rob! If Mike doesn't win, I sure hope that Rob does! He is hilarious, but I cannot STAND the skanky harem he's got around him! (with the exception of Andrea - she's ok)

Yes, I still watch Survivor. And yes I love it!!!

I'm back!!!

Sorry for being MIA. Last week was crazy busy. There was a wedding on Saturday and all the things that led up to it, from the secret bridal shower, to making and decorating three cakes in three days and also a birthday! Also had Elizah stay with me for two nights, which was really really nice - I love it when she stays, and it was great catching up!

But I just wanted to say that I'm back this week and will be updating as and when I can.

My new thing - I want to write a children's book! That's right, you read that right. I want to write a children's book! As an adult, I still like reading children's books (well, the ones that I used to read as a child). It reminds me of a simpler time! So I will be concentrating my energy on starting that. Yes, this blog is called a rolling stone for a reason!!!

On another note, I have been watching the Real Housewives of Orange County and I really want to live one of their lives! It must be so fabulous to just be able to have all the money to do sfa all day and be one of the ladies who luncheon!

Sunset dreams...

So I was making a little baby chicken out of yellow gumpaste (photos of that at a later stage) when I looked out of the window of my dining room and saw something that just took my breath away...

As they say a picture paints a thousand words, I might let my photos (and Kate Miller-Heidke) show you the beautiful 5 minutes of sunset I had tonight... xoxo

Dead easy cupcakes...

I can actually say that this cupcake recipe is dead easy because we made nearly 200 mini versions of these cupcakes for my engagement party! I have included a photo of the cupcakes we made right at the end of this post. I made the little sugar hearts - just a matter of rolling out coloured gumpaste and using a little heart-shaped cookie cutter.

This recipe has everything that I like in a recipe - quick prep, few ingredients. Perfect recipe, for a kid's first baking project. I thought that I would share this recipe on here as Elizah has been asking me for it!

Lizah - I've put it on this blog because I know if I text it to you, you will lose it again!

Enjoy!

CELEBRATION CUPCAKES

Ingredients

2 cups of self-raising flour
3/4 cup caster sugar
3/4 cup milk (as usual, I used low fat as that's what I have handy at home)
125 melted butter, cooled
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla essence (I think this is optional - I only use it if I have it handy)

Method

Pre-heat the oven to 200C.
Combine the flour and caster sugar in a bowl.
Add milk, butter, eggs and vanilla essenve (I just chuck them all in at once)
Stir gently to combine.
Spoon into the cupcake tray
Bake for 12-15 minutes.
